Ingredients
-2 slices of bread
-2 eggs
-Butter to spread
-Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cut out a small hole in the center of each slice of bread. It doesn’t have to be perfect!
- Butter both sides of the bread
- On a frying pan using medium heat place one side of the bread down. Crack an egg into the hole, if you prefer your egg not to be runny then using a spatula break apart the yolk.
- Season the bread and egg with salt and pepper
- Once the bottom of the bread is crispy and golden brown, flip the bread and cook the other side of the egg for about 2-4 min
- Serve and enjoy!
Tips
- You can add any shredded cheese on top of the egg and bread
- If you prefer a slightly runny egg then don’t break the yolk, you can also grill both sides of the bread first before cracking in the egg if you prefer sunny side up.
